PROFESSIONAL
CERTIFICATION |
CEAT, in conjunction with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension (TEEX), coordinates the Basic Code Enforcement Officer course required for certification by the state of Texas. CEAT also coordinates the Intermediate Code Enforcement Officer course. Upon passage, TEEX awards a certificate. Each year courses are planned and held throughout the state. The basic course is generally held on a monthly basis from September through May. The intermediate course is held in February at a minimum. |

1. Go to www.teex.com
2. Under "Training" select "Public Works"
3. Scroll down and select course "BT006" "Basic Code Enforcement"
4. Scroll down past class descriptions to class schedule and click on "register" for the class you wish to attend.You can register and pay online.
They also have a toll free number you can register at.TEEX gets the course registration fee, the state (DSHS) gets the application fee and Promissor gets the examination fee.
